I've set up a support forum for the photoblog component at joomlacode.org:

The second alpha of the photoblog component will be released in one or two weeks. The release includes some nice new features, like a photo management system.
Next to this release I will work on a basic documentation for the component... 

The photoblog component is now available under the GNU GPLv3 license!
