I've just installed and configured PhotoBlog Alpha3c onto my homepage (
www.whatjd.com)
I have a few thoughts and concerns after installing and using the script for the first time.
No matter what I try, it appears I can't get the size settings to allow me to upload multiple images that are different sizes without it resizing a portion of the images (either reducing the size, making them grainy, or enlarging them and making them blurry and pixelated.) Can you please add support for multiple image dimensions without a resize (or a way to disable resize).
I don't mind the consistency of all folder/gallery thumbnails being the same dimensions which results in a clean & pleasing overview, however I wish there was a way to enable proportionate thumbnail resizing for the actual gallery contents.
As I've seen others post as I skimmed over your forum... a multi-image upload function would be a very convenient future feature.
Can you please make a help file that includes an explanation of the different fields/terminology/features/preferences in the script?
--For example, I'm not sure the function of a blog folder, and if it differs from or references the folder information in the category.
I would like to be able to change the color of the text overlay bar in the cat thumbnails from within the main configuration to better fit the color scheme of my website.
I haven't run into any major bugs or glitches so far. I'm running PHP Version: 5.2.11
Web Server: Apache/2.2.14 Joomla! Version: 1.5.15 Stable for reference.
Out of all of the scripts I've browsed so far, I like this one the best. I just wish a few key elements were addressed that would greatly increase the functionality and visual appeal of PhotoBlog. Please help me out when you have time available by integrating some of my suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
-JD
