IE (6) 7 and 8 popup compatibility 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Good morning,

I have been using the Photoblog module for a while now and am quite satisfied with how it works.

Though, I have had several complaints about the popup not working in IE (6) 7 and 8.
You can test this yourself... here.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Jeffrey Bos

Hello Jeffrey,

I have short checked your site, the popup doesn't work, but I can't found an issue.
On my demo site (erdikon.de/fotos) the popup works fine in the internet explorer without problems, so I think there is a compatibly problem between your site and the photoblog component.

Please try to change the url's to real SEF urls with mod_rewrite like "bhc-handbal.nl/fotos" or without SEF urls, like "bhc-handbal.nl/index.php?com_option=photoblog..."

Maybe this works for you...
Best regards

Hello Marco,

Thank you for your swift response. I have tried to get it to work without SEF urls and I have tried reinstalling the module (emptied the database). Nothing of that has worked. Do you have any other ideas?

Greetings,

Hello Jeffrey,

I think that could be a conflict with the mootools...
I found the following line in your source code:
Code:

<script src="http://www.bhc-handbal.nl/nieuw/media/system/js/mootools.js" rel="lightbox" type="text/javascript">

This is maybe the origin of the conflict.

If you don't know which component needs this or how you can deactivate the loading of the mootools, try the following:
- deactivate the rokbox in the photoblog configuration
- install the rokbox separatly, you can download the rokbox system plugin directly from rockettheme.com

hope this helps
